Giving is an active part of worship.
Jesus talked more about money and treasures than he did any other subject. Now when you think about the implications of that you can start to understand how big of deal money really is. The main reason Jesus discussed it was because of the temptation we have to trust in IT rather than in HIM. As a church, when we ask you to give (tithing & sacrificial giving) we are not asking for something FROM you but rather something FOR you. We want you to be truly surrendered to Him and to live a life of obedience. Nothing says that we are fully surrendered to Jesus like giving does. So it is less about giving to our church and more about your HEART. If you are struggling in this area, then seek Jesus, study the Bible and ask Him to give you the heart of a giver. As you do that, you will begin to see that God is a giver and as you become more like Him you will be too.
